GREAT CONSERVATORIES OF THE 19TH CENTURY

Academy for Lifelong LearningOctober 2012 – DENTON, MD – The Academy for Lifelong Learning offered a presentation by Tanglewood Conservatories’ President and Director of Architecture, Alan Stein, on October 23, 2012. The presentation, held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM), featured Mr. Stein;’ unique look at 19th-century conservatories by looking at their rich history and their architectural significance throughout the world today. Mr. Stein presented information on several Maryland conservatories as well.

Mr. Stein has a degree in architecture from the University of Maryland and is known internationally for the custom conservatories, skylights, and greenhouses his firm designs, builds and installs. Tanglewood Conservatories is headquartered in Denton, Maryland.
