The Great Palm House in Toronto, Canada: A Must See Attraction!

Palm House in Toronto_Allan Gardens Park

Allan Gardens Park is a popular tourist attraction with a beautiful ARCHITECTURAL LANDMARK nestled in its backyard – The Great Palm House in Toronto!

Have you seen it?

At the heart of the gardens lives the great PALM HOUSE designed in 1910 by architect Robert McCallum. A play on repetition, symmetry and contrast, the palm house is a historic legend.

Allan Gardens Park, first established in 1858, became instrumental in exposing generations of students to the world’s plant diversity! Over the course of its lifetime, the Palm House developed an extensive collection of orchids, hibiscus and cacti and soon held the largest collection of Pandanus (Madagascar tropical pine) in Toronto!
