THE UNUSED PATIO
Before our clients contacted us about adding a conservatory, this space was an open patio between two wings of a stately Tudor home—a quiet space between the architecture of the house and the garden beyond. The transformation is striking. What was once a passage between indoors and out has become a beautifully defined room that brings the two together.
The design is intentionally light. A slender framework and expansive panes of glass allow the architecture to feel almost weightless, while the existing character of the home remains firmly in view. Rather than imposing itself on the Tudor structure, the conservatory complements it, creating a graceful transition from the solidity of the house to the openness of the garden.
